BODE BULFER of NORTHFIELD, MN | ||
DOES IT AGAIN!!! | ||
Bode Bulfer is from Northfield, Minnesota, and started skiing when he was three years old. He began participating in tournaments at the age of five, and skied at Nationals when he was just seven. Bode’s confidence on the water has been steady, but got a boost in July when he broke the Boys 2 National slalom record with a score of 1 at 38 off. Bode continued his winning streak at Nationals this year in Okeeheelee, Florida. He won Slalom by tying his National Slalom Record of 1 at 38 off and won Jump with a distance of 96 feet. Bode also won Boys 2 Overall and broke the National Championship Boys 2 Overall Record. In Minnesota the water ski season is short, so Bode must make the most of it by skiing almost every day there is no snow on the ground. Bode is in the frigid lake when the ice comes off in early May and is still skiing into October despite the frost and cold weather. An important reason for Bode’s success is his lifelong skiing partner and older brother George. The brothers push and help each other daily on the water; they are one another’s biggest support. |
